Professor Langley Attends APPG on Prostate Cancer at the House of Commons
Professor Langley was honoured to speak at the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Prostate Cancer at the House of Commons this week, joining fellow clinicians, researchers, and policymakers to discuss the future of prostate cancer diagnostics and care across the UK.
- Dr Jozien Helleman (Researcher at the Erasmus Medical Centre Rotterdam and project manager for PRAISE-U)
- Professor Eamonn Rogers (Chairman of the Patient Office of the European Association of Urology)
- Professor Stephen Langley (Professor of Urology at the Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford)

During the session, Professor Langley shared insights from a collaborative project with Medefer and the Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance, aimed at developing a new model to identify and test men who may have been missed in the traditional primary care pathway. The initiative focused on improving access to PSA testing through targeted outreach and streamlined diagnostics, helping to address gaps in early detection and reduce delays in referral.
